LUPUS

I was diagnosed with lupus. And within two weeks, I was put on nine different medications to deal with my symptoms. When I found out that I first had lupus, I'd actually started out thinking maybe I was pregnant. I had no energy, I had aches and pains, I couldn't sleep, I was nauseous all the time, my energy level was so low that I would literally have to talk myself into getting up to walk across the room. And not just the energy level, sometimes it was painful or energy draining enough that I would end up dry heaving or throwing up. So I was really sick. I was miserable. I had migraines constantly, my joints were constantly aching. I didn't want to move. I was working as a designer at the time; and that's a very, very busy job. I was moving furniture and hanging pictures. But the only way I got through some of my work days was a couple of Red Bulls and extra sugar bumps, which I'm sure just increased the problems.

But I was not educated at the time; I didn't know.  All I knew was I had to get to the end of my work day; I had to make the paycheck and take care of my family, and it became increasingly difficult. And so that's why I went to the doctor - to find out if there's anything I can do or anything I can take.  I was willing to do anything, if it would just give me the energy to get through the day and make me pain free enough that I would be able to sleep at night. I was desperate at that point; I was only 36 at the time and that's too young to live like that. The nine different medications were for nine different symptoms  --  blood pressure, skin problems, aches and pains, sleeping medication and pain medications for day and night.  The doctor just looked at me and said, "There's nothing we can do. It's not curable and all we can do is manage your symptoms". So that was a very frustrating day for me.

I was introduced to the 90 essential nutrients formula and two months ago I had my blood panels done; they checked everything. Being as old as I am, they wanted to be very thorough. And my doctor said, "I'd like to tell you that at your age you need to be more cautious, but your labs look more like a 28 year old. There's nothing wrong with you.  You look extremely healthy and I'm not really worried about any health concerns." So not only do I not have any markers for lupus, I don't have any markers for anything there at all.  My labs are perfect. So I think that's pretty great!
